About The Position

International SOS is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to secure, design, operate, and maintain IT network and security infrastructure for a key government contract. The role focuses on solving technical problems and continually assessing and improving the technical environment. The position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain Tier 3/Level II IT Security Clearance after an offer and maintain clearance after starting with International SOS. Travel is not required; on-call or after-hours support may be needed.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience designing, building, and operating networks.
• At least 5 years of Check Point security experience.
• At least 5 years of Cisco networking experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in IT.
• Experience with Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches.
• Experience with Check Point firewalls and intrusion prevention.
• Experience with F5 load balancers.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure networking, including virtual networks, routing, subnets, ExpressRoute, VPN, and Network Security Groups.
• Knowledge of networking protocols and concepts, including routing, VLANs, subnetting, load balancing, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, TLS, and SSH.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Security, or equivalent; alternatively, four additional years of network security engineering experience.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain Tier 3/Level II IT Security Clearance.
• English language proficiency.
• Ability to focus on goals and results, analyze and solve problems, work independently, manage competing demands, and operate comfortably amid ambiguity.

Nice To Haves

• Azure Network Engineer Associate certification.
• Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar.
• A second language.

Responsibilities

• Maintain data network hardware and systems, including Azure and Cisco on-premises networks.
• Investigate and resolve significant network and hardware issues by researching, analyzing, isolating, and correcting errors.
• Assess and evaluate current and future systems.
• Monitor the intrusion prevention system (IPS) for network intrusions and respond to incidents.
• Keep the IPS system and signatures up to date.
• Design on-premises or Azure Government Cloud networks according to project requirements and architectural principles.
• Develop and monitor key network metrics for IT reviews, reporting, and monitoring.
• Implement VPN, firewall rule, and web-filtering changes.
• Perform hardware and software upgrades to network infrastructure, including Cisco switches, Check Point firewalls, and F5 load balancers.
