About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Network Security Authentication Engineer (Senior Information Security Engineer) in Technology as part of the Cybersecurity organization. This role is part of a specialized engineering team responsible for end-to-end ownership of the Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) platform, which provides enterprise authentication, authorization, and network access control services across the organization. The role emphasizes DevOps, automation, and software engineering practices supporting security infrastructure. The engineer designs and develops automation to improve how authentication services are tested, deployed, maintained, monitored, and operated, replacing manual processes with reliable, repeatable, and auditable automation while improving engineering efficiency and reducing operational risk. The engineer develops solutions using Python, APIs, configuration management, source control, and CI/CD technologies, working with security and infrastructure engineers to translate operational needs into maintainable automation. The position combines software engineering skills, infrastructure knowledge, security awareness, and troubleshooting across application, operating system, network, and API boundaries. Cisco ISE or network authentication experience is valuable, while strong DevOps and automation engineering capability is the primary emphasis. The position also requires the ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed or scheduled and to work on call as assigned.
