About The Position

Acentra Health is looking for a Network Recruiter - Peer Reviewers to join our growing team. This position will play a key role in expanding and managing Acentra Health’s nationwide network of provider peer clinical reviewers. The Recruiter will strategically source, engage, and onboard physicians across a broad range of specialties—spanning primary care fields such as Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics, as well as highly specialized disciplines including Neurosurgery, Allergy & Immunology, and Genetics. Unlike traditional hospital recruiting, this role focuses on attracting physicians for flexible, as needed quality of care and utilization management review work. Responsibilities include warm and cold outreach, guiding prospective providers through an efficient and positive onboarding experience, and helping to establish the foundation for strong provider engagement and long-term retention. This role is ideal for a recruiter who enjoys solving complex talent challenges and contributing to healthcare quality at a national level.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of experience recruiting physicians, advanced practice providers, or healthcare providers in contract, locum tenens, peer review, utilization management, or network development environments
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting physicians across multiple specialties and subspecialties.
  • Experience sourcing and recruiting hard-to-fill or highly specialized physician roles.
  • Strong understanding of physician specialties, board certifications, subspecialties, and provider credentialing requirements.
  • Experience negotiating physician compensation and contract terms.
  • Proven ability to recruit under tight timelines and urgent staffing demands.
  • Strong cold-calling, sourcing, relationship-building, and provider engagement skills.
  • Experience managing physician onboarding and credentialing coordination.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement innovative physician sourcing strategies, including digital outreach, specialty focused campaigns, and direct engagement.
  • Recruit physicians across general and highly subspecialized fields to support quality of care and utilization management review needs.
  • Maintain an active pipeline to ensure a scalable, ready to deploy reviewer network.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective and current providers through phone and email communication channels.
  • Communicate professionally as a representative of Acentra Health to ensure an exceptional provider experience.
  • Respond promptly to provider with inquiries and communicate key information to internal teams.
  • Negotiates market-specific rates with providers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness, while delivering compelling value propositions that align provider capabilities with organizational needs.
  • Manage the provider onboarding process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all applications and documentation.
  • Monitor credentialing milestones and compliance requirements with high attention to detail.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate policies, including HIPAA Privacy and Security rules.
  • Monitor network capacity to ensure adequate specialty coverage for case reviews.
  • Apply targeted recruitment strategies to address coverage gaps and evolving specialty needs.
  • Track operational metrics and provide regular updates to leadership.
  • Support departmental tasks, initiatives, and projects as assigned.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of recruitment, onboarding, and provider engagement processes.
  • Experience with facilitating and assisting provider inquiries about credentialing and contracts.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.
