About The Position

We are looking for a seasoned NOC Engineer to design and implement our first-generation Network Operations Center (MVP) in AWS staffed in Boston, MA. This is a high-impact, hands-on technical role responsible for creating a unified "big-board" view of our unique hybrid infrastructure, which spans ATSC 3.0 broadcast stations, MVNO links, and edge devices like the EBW Gateway (ZAT-6000L). You will be the primary responder for network anomalies and will lay the technical foundation for our future operations team.

Requirements

  • Seasoned Expertise: 10+ years of experience in Network Operations, Site Reliability Engineering, or a similar technical infrastructure role.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Deep proficiency in AWS, specifically for deploying and scaling monitoring stacks.
  • Monitoring Tooling: Expert-level knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), and Loki.
  • Protocols & Networks: Strong understanding of LTE/MVNO networking and device management protocols like TR-369 or TR-069; familiarity with ATSC 3.0 or broadcast technology is a major plus.
  • Execution Mindset: A "builder" who can execute independently to deliver an MVP while maintaining the vision to potentially lead the team in the future.
  • Technical Curiosity: Ability to "Dig Deep" into complex hybrid network architectures.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: Proven ability to mine complex datasets across disparate networks (ATSC 3.0, MVNO, and Edge Devices) to create actionable insights. You should be skilled at transforming raw telemetry into intuitive dashboards and reports tailored for diverse audiences—from real-time operational alerts for the NOC to high-level KPIs for executive leadership and transparency-focused status views for customers.
  • AI Expertise: An AI first mindset and an ability to solve and implement using AI.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the MVP NOC: Design and deploy a centralized monitoring solution in AWS using Prometheus, Elastic, Kibana, and Loki.
  • Unified Domain Monitoring: Integrate data streams from Broadcast platform (Broadcast/ATSC 3.0) and MVNO Platform (MVNO/LTE) to provide a single-pane-of-glass view.
  • Visualization & Analytics: Develop "big-board" map views for US station status, MVNO coverage, and device heat maps, including week-over-week traffic trend analysis.
  • Device Management: Implement device-level monitoring using TR-369 (User Services Platform) for the EdgeBeam Wireless Gateway and future hardware.
  • Incident Response: Act as the primary technical point of contact for network and application-level failures once the NOC is operational.
  • Process Development: Establish the initial runbooks and escalation procedures for Edgebeam’s vertical applications (Digital Signage, Automotive, Fleet Management, eGPS) in support of established and emerging SLAs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering teams to ensure vertical applications and the Broadcast platform are telemetry-ready.
