About The Position

The Senior Network Engineer's primary responsibility is evaluating, recommending, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the enterprise network infrastructure and all associated technologies in multiple 24/7 locations. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills and thorough network administration and architecture knowledge. This position is considered a key contributor in all aspects of the department's network infrastructure, including strategy development for future and enterprise-wide initiatives involving the implementation of network technologies.

Requirements

  • Seven (7)+ years supporting LAN/WAN networks in large environments.
  • Three (3)+ years of experience as a Network Engineer in a complex multiplatform, multi-protocol environment.
  • A Strong understanding of networking/security topologies and protocols.
  • Knowledge of Cisco IOS/Nexus OS/ Cisco ASA and technologies related to MPLS, QoS, BGP, OSPF, VRFs, and Traffic Engineering.
  • Experience with wireless technologies 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax and understanding of load-balancing products.

Nice To Haves

  • Cisco DNA, Cisco ACI.
  • Aruba wireless, Aruba ClearPass, Aruba Mobility Conductor and Mobility Controller.
  • Knowledge of SSL Certificate framework, WAN Optimization and SD-WAN platforms.
  • Strong understanding of modern network security architectures.
  • Technical certification, for example: CCIE, CCNP, CISSP
  • Knowledge of cloud networking technologies, including Azure Virtual Networks (VNETs), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs), cloud routing, network segmentation, VPN connectivity, ExpressRoute, FastConnect, load balancing, and hybrid cloud architectures.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating, recommending, implementing, maintaining, and supporting the enterprise network infrastructure and all associated technologies in multiple 24/7 locations.
  • Assisting in planning costs, resources, and timelines for upcoming projects and budget cycles.
  • Supporting the Network Architect with the planning and design of network infrastructure both in proof-of-concept and production environments.
  • Supporting the design, delivery, and operations of Wide Area Networks, Local Area Networks, Wireless Networks, and the administration of firewalls and network management systems.
