About The Position

This role is for a Senior Network Engineer responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's LAN/WAN/WLAN architecture across various environments including campus, multi-site, datacenter, and hybrid cloud. The engineer will configure and support routing, switching, and wireless technologies, troubleshoot complex network issues, and manage firewall solutions. Additionally, the role involves deploying and supporting Azure networking services, assisting the monitoring team, and maintaining comprehensive network documentation.

Requirements

• Experience with Cisco, Meraki, Dell routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting complex network issues using Wireshark, logs, and monitoring tools.
• Experience with Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, and Fortinet firewall solutions.
• Experience with Azure networking services (VNets, subnets, routing/UDRs, NSGs, NVAs, VPN Gateway/ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, Private Endpoints).
• Experience with SNMP and monitoring/alerting platforms.
• Ability to maintain clear network documentation including diagrams, inventory, configurations, and design documents.
• Obtained or willing to obtain the following certifications: Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCNP, Azure AZ-700, Fortinet NSE-4/5, and Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain LAN/WAN/WLAN architecture (campus, multi-site, datacenter, and hybrid cloud)
• Configure and support routing, switching, and wireless technologies from Cisco, Meraki, Dell, and others.
• Troubleshoot complex issues utilizing Wireshark, logs and monitoring tools; drive root cause analysis and permanent fixes.
• Install, administer, and optimize firewall solutions from Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, and Fortinet; such as firewall policies, NAT, zones, IPS/IDS, content filtering, IPsec VPN, SSLVPN, high availability, and cloud NVA appliances.
• Deploy and support Azure networking services, such as Virtual Networks (VNets), subnets, routing/UDRs, NSGs, NVAs, VPN Gateway and/or ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, and Private Endpoints.
• Assist monitoring team with optimizing our monitoring/alerting platform. Implementing SNMP and best practices.
• Maintaining clear network documentation: network diagrams (VISIO), network inventory, backup configurations, high and low level design documentation, and secure credential storage.
