We’re looking for a seasoned Senior Network Engineer to join our high-impact Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team. If you thrive on designing secure, scalable networks and have a passion for cloud security and firewall mastery—this is your opportunity to shape the backbone of our digital ecosystem. In this role, you’ll architect and manage our network security infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments, working with cutting-edge technologies and collaborating across teams to protect our most critical assets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering with a focus on firewall administration
- Deep expertise in firewall technologies (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet)
- Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and LAN/WAN architecture
- Familiarity with cloud security tools and services in AWS and GCP
- Proficiency with IDPS, SIEM platforms, and network monitoring tools
- CCNA / CCNP required
Nice To Haves
- Experience with VoIP, Vyatta routers, VMware, and telecom environments is a plus
- CISSP, CompTIA Network+, or cloud security certifications preferred
- Bonus: scripting skills (Python, Bash) and experience with network automation tools
Responsibilities
- Configure, manage, and optimize firewall devices (Vyatta, Fortinet FortiGate) across the cloud
- Enforce security policies to block unauthorized access and mitigate threats
- Monitor and analyze firewall logs to detect and respond to suspicious activity
- Conduct vulnerability scans and security assessments to identify and remediate risks
- Lead incident response efforts and coordinate cross-functional remediation
- Champion security awareness and provide training across teams
- Design and implement cloud security architectures in AWS and GCP (VPCs, IAM, security groups, access controls)
- Leverage cloud-native security tools (WAF, IDS/IPS, SIEM) to protect infrastructure
- Align with compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001) and cloud security best practices
- Collaborate with others to build secure, high-performance network solutions
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues, latency, and packet loss across distributed systems
- Monitor and optimize network performance, plan capacity upgrades, and implement alerting systems
- Maintain detailed documentation of firewall configurations, network diagrams, and security policies
