About The Position

Network Engineer, Senior The Opportunity: We are seeking a dedicated network engineer to support the design, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise and tactical networks for the Department of War (DoW). This role is an opportunity to apply your technical expertise in wireless, SD-WAN, and cybersecurity to build secure, resilient infrastructure that directly enhances the quality of life for military personnel and their families. You’ll work on meaningful projects that support mission readiness and day-to-day connectivity across DoW environments. What You'll Do: Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center connectivity. Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Aruba wireless LANs, controllers, access points, ClearPass and SD-WAN solutions. Conduct performance tuning and network health assessments. Conduct and document cybersecurity vulnerability scans using approved tools in compliance with DoD requirements. Maintain accurate network documentation and diagrams. Lead troubleshooting efforts for escalated network issues. Collaborate across IT teams to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant network operations. Join us. The world can’t wait.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise networking roles
  • Experience with Aruba or Cisco wireless solutions
  • Experience with network troubleshooting tools and packet analysis, such as Wireshark or SolarWinds
  • Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies, such as Aruba EdgeConnect and orchestrator or Juniper SSR
  • Knowledge of routing protocols, such as RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, or BGP
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and data network protocols, including ARP, DHCP, HTTP, SNMP, and TCP, and protocol analysis tools, including tcpdump and Wireshark
  • Knowledge of DoD network deployments, STIGs, and IA compliance standards
  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation and diagrams
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with firewalls, such as Palo Alto or Fortinet, NAC, and network security policies
  • Experience with cloud networking, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Knowledge of scripting or automation tools, such as Python or Ansible
  • DoD 8570 Compliance Certification a plus
  • Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, or Security+ Certification
