Senior Network Engineer (KEY-NE3-03.080626)
About The Position
Provides Network support that requires system level design, architecture or enterprise security and security boundaries, datacenter virtualization, CAN/MAN/LAN infrastructure packet capture software, TCP/IP protocol stack, routing/switching protocols, stateful firewalls, and L3/L4 access controls. This role involves the physical installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network routers, switches, load balancers, and security devices. The engineer will also support on-call requirements and work in a live call environment, utilizing ticketing systems to track tasks. Experience with virtualization products like VMWare and Solaris containers is also required.
Requirements
- TS/SCI with both Polygraphs is required
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack and routing and switching protocols.
- Strong working knowledge of L2/L3 protocols.
- Strong working knowledge of stateful firewalls, and L3 access controls.
- Working knowledge of Atlassian Tool Suite.
- Virtualization products; VMWare and Solaris containers.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification
- Bachelor’s degree + 8 years minimum experience, OR No Degree + 10 years minimum experience, OR 8 (eight) years demonstrable experience in network engineering (LAN), architecture, monitoring, security, and protection.
- Must have datacenter network design and architecture experience to include installation and configuration of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPSEC virtual private networks.
- 2 (two) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Bachelor’s degree in related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
