About The Position

This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network architectures across various environments including campus, multi-site, datacenter, and hybrid cloud. The engineer will be responsible for configuring and supporting a wide range of routing, switching, and wireless technologies, as well as troubleshooting intricate network issues and optimizing monitoring platforms. A key aspect of the role includes deploying and supporting Azure networking services and maintaining comprehensive network documentation.

Requirements

• Design, implement and maintain LAN/WAN/WLAN architecture (campus, multi-site, datacenter, and hybrid cloud)
• Configure and support routing, switching, and wireless technologies from Cisco, Meraki, Dell, and others.
• Troubleshoot complex issues utilizing Wireshark, logs and monitoring tools; drive root cause analysis and permanent fixes.
• Install, administer, and optimize firewall solutions from Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, and Fortinet; such as firewall policies, NAT, zones, IPS/IDS, content filtering, IPsec VPN, SSLVPN, high availability, and cloud NVA appliances.
• Deploy and support Azure networking services, such as Virtual Networks (VNets), subnets, routing/UDRs, NSGs, NVAs, VPN Gateway and/or ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, and Private Endpoints.
• Assist monitoring team with optimizing our monitoring/alerting platform.
• Implementing SNMP and best practices.
• Maintaining clear network documentation: network diagrams (VISIO), network inventory, backup configurations, high and low level design documentation, and secure credential storage.

Nice To Haves

• Obtained or willing to obtain the following certifications: Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCNP, Azure AZ-700, Fortinet NSE-4/5, and Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE.
