About The Position

We are hiring a Senior Network Engineer for the Core Tech Network department. This is a remote position with a schedule of an 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday. The salary range is $116,413 - $162,273 per year. The role involves owning and optimizing the organization's core routing and switching infrastructure across campus and data center environments, ensuring the stability, performance, and availability of critical network services. The engineer will serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex network incidents, leading deep Layer 2 and Layer 3 troubleshooting efforts and restoring service across large-scale production environments. Additionally, the role drives continuous improvement of the network platform by leading upgrades, migrations, and operational enhancements across Cisco, Extreme Fabric Connect, ACI, and NDFC technologies while mentoring fellow engineers.

Requirements

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • 8–10+ years of hands-on network engineering experience
  • Proven experience supporting large-scale enterprise and data center environments
  • Expert-level hands-on experience with: Cisco routing and switching (Catalyst, Nexus)
  • Expert-level hands-on experience with: Extreme VOSS / Fabric Connect
  • Expert-level hands-on experience with: Cisco ACI
  • Expert-level hands-on experience with: Cisco NDFC
  • Strong expertise in: Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, route redistribution, policy control)
  • Strong expertise in: Layer 2 technologies (VLANs, STP, VXLAN/EVPN fundamentals)
  • Strong expertise in: Data center networking and fabric architectures (operational support)
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-layer network issues under pressure
  • Experience in mission-critical, high-availability environments

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
