About The Position

MAXISIQ is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to serve as the technical network authority for the MuTC Advanced Cyber Center - Testing, Training, and Experimentation (MACC-TTE) program supporting the Indiana National Guard (INNG) at Muscatatuck Training Center in Butlerville, Indiana. The Senior Network Engineer will design, integrate, and operate range network infrastructure across the MACC-TTE Cyber Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA) range - a closed-loop environment of interdependent IT networks, operational technology (OT) networks, telecommunications networks, and RF systems across the electromagnetic spectrum - and will support integration with the Joint Information Operations Range (JIOR) and comparable DoD range nodes. This role is designated Key Personnel and is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Networks, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Equivalent experience may be considered per contract terms.
  • Active certification that satisfies DoD Manual 8140.03 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II - e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE, CySA+, GSEC, GICSP, CCNA-Security, SSCP, or a higher-level cert that subsumes IAT II (CASP+/SecurityX, CISSP, GCED). Plain CCNA (non-security variant) does not satisfy this requirement.
  • Minimum 10 years of senior network engineering experience, with demonstrated work in cyber range, computer testbed, or comparable DoD test/training environments.
  • Direct experience with JIOR or a comparable DoD range node is required.
  • Hands-on experience with wireless infrastructure including 802.11x and 2G/3G/4G/5G cellular systems.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance required at start.

Nice To Haves

  • Named cyber range/test bed role experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain range network infrastructure supporting cyber training, testing, and experimentation across multiple classification levels.
  • Serve as the technical lead for network architecture decisions on the cyber range, including routing, switching, and wireless infrastructure design.
  • Integrate range nodes with the Joint Information Operations Range (JIOR) and comparable DoD range nodes for connected training and test events.
  • Implement wireless infrastructure supporting 802.11x and cellular technologies (2G/3G/4G/5G) as required by exercise and test scenarios.
  • Perform troubleshooting, performance tuning, and capacity planning across range network assets.
  • Coordinate with Systems Administrators, Cyber Test Engineers, and range operations staff on end-to-end integration.
  • Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and configuration baselines in support of accreditation and readiness activities.
  • Support compliance with DoDM 8140.03 workforce requirements and applicable RMF/ATO controls.
