About The Position

Chugach Government Solutions (CGS) is seeking a senior network engineer to join its team in the local Tampa Bay area. This role will assist with designing and implementing new architecture into an existing DoD environment. The engineer will be part of a team analyzing current infrastructure reliability for the purpose of optimizing and new technology insertion. The position involves global travel for site surveys and hardware installation. The ideal candidate will be familiar with IP protocols, WAN, encryption devices, routing switching, and testing and evaluation. This position operates in a hybrid DoD lab environment, collaborating with various stakeholders to stay at the forefront of new and emerging technologies.

Requirements

TS clearance with SCI obtainability
Industry Certification: security+
U.S. Citizenship
Ability to successfully pass any background check and / or drug testing required on the contract

Responsibilities

Working knowledge of IP Protocols, routing, switching, acceleration, encryption, firewalls, devices at an advanced level
Ability to travel globally conduct site surveys and install hardware into an existing network
Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting across WAN
Ability to perform circuit testing and activation utilizing test equipment
Ability to work independently and in a team environment, collaborating on best practices and performance improvement
Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information at all levels
Minimum six years of experience supporting C4I networks, designing, implementing, testing and evaluation of enterprise IT services
Experience with the development of network engineering documentation, plans and diagrams
