About The Position
Entarian is seeking a Network Engineer to support the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) Expeditionary Enterprise Systems and Services (E2S2) Division. NIWC Atlantic provides design, acquisition, and sustainment services for Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) Information Technology (IT) systems. This position is an on-site office role in North Charleston, SC requiring attendance five days per week, with one optional telework day. Must be willing to travel up to 25-35%, including multiple week-long trips per year to CONUS and OCONUS locations in support of mission requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited program.
- Active Top Secret Level Clearance.
- Seven (7) years of IT professional experience overseeing the creation of hybrid software, web and hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance.
- Current Cisco CCNA certification.
- Proven experience with enterprise and/or tactical Marine Corps networks.
- Fundamental understanding of Cisco Software Defined Wide Area Network (SDWAN).
- Ability to travel 25% to 35% of the time for fieldings, site surveys, and other sponsor-requested trips (often lasting several weeks).
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and install it into racks according to installation design plans.
Nice To Haves
- Cisco SD-WAN deployment and sustainment experience.
- Current Cisco CCNP or equivalent vendor certification (e.g., JunOS, Arista).
- Fundamental knowledge of Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly DNAC).
- Solid experience with Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).
- Experience working with major carriers (e.g., Verizon).
- Experience with DMVPN / Flex VPN.
- Hands-on experience with High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryption (HAIPE) devices.
- Familiarity with Multicast protocols.
Responsibilities
