About The Position

The Systems Administrator/Engineer II performs all systems integration work, system management and configuration, operation, testing, and reset of the MACC-TTE virtual and physical environments. This role configures and deploys virtual and physical servers, workstations, and small processor-controlled devices, while actively supporting information assurance (IA) requirements. Responsible for installing, configuring, upgrading, patching, troubleshooting, and maintaining (hardware, software, and server) configurations to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Manage accounts, firewalls, access controls, passwords, account creations, and conduct administration. Provide routine automation, maintain security policies, train, or offer technical support. Maintain the platform’s uptime, performance, resources, and availability. Maintain upkeep, configuration, security of the computers, and reliable operation of computer systems. Create automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Ansible to streamline processes. Build, configure, and maintain virtual environments.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Cyber Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Architect.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Management, or related field.
  • Must meet DoDM 8140.03 IAT II requirements.
  • Proven experience designing and configuring computer networks including routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, active directory, VPNs, VLANs, and SANs utilizing bare-metal as well as virtualized systems.
  • Strong server and system engineering proficiency with Windows enterprise and Linux server operating systems.
  • Deep conceptual and practical knowledge of network vulnerabilities, attack vectors, and rapid mitigation strategies.
