Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance are required.
• Candidates must meet DoD 8140/8570 IAT II (e.g., Security+ CE) at start
• 5–7 years of hands-on system/network administration experience in enterprise or DoD environments.
• Demonstrated expertise with Windows Server/Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy, virtualization platforms (VMware or Hyper-V), backup/restore, endpoint/configuration management, and ticketing systems.
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, STIGs/RMF touchpoints, and PowerShell scripting is expected.
• Strong customer service, written/oral communication, and leadership skills are critical, as is the ability to organize workload, document procedures, and support occasional after-hours maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Directs daily operations, assigns work, and ensures service levels are met across tickets, incidents, and requests.
• Oversee workstation and server administration, account and device provisioning, patching and compliance, backup and recovery, and change coordination with base communications and enterprise network partners.
• Maintain SOPs and runbooks, tracks asset and license records, delivers status updates to the Program Manager and COR, and manages the on-call rotation.
• Mentor technicians, validates security/control adherence in collaboration with ISSO/ISSE functions, and ensures coverage during leave and surge.
