About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking a Computer Systems Administrator to join a team to assist the 23rd Electronic Warfare Squadron, 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing (350 SWW), at Eglin AFB, Florida. The 350 SWW is the technical focal point for all electronic warfare (EW) support of warfighter systems for the Combat Air Forces (CAF). The mission of the 350 SWW is to develop and test mission data (MD) to defeat enemy radar and infrared guided missile systems, thus enhancing aircrew and aircraft survivability in combat. This mission includes operational EW testing, MD development/validation/verification, force development evaluation execution and facilitating foreign materiel exploitation. As a Computer Systems Administrator your duties will include the following, but are not limited to: Assist in providing System and Network Administration Support for client systems in both Collateral and SAP environments Provide foundational user support for SAP applications, including troubleshooting common access and transaction issues; manage and provide technical support for Communications Security (COMSEC) equipment, such as TACLANEs and ViPERs, and perform COMSEC manager duties; and proactively identify process inefficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement. Serve as a front-end SharePoint Site Designer/Power User to manage and support collaboration sites, lists, libraries, and user permissions Resolves IT support requests, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues Communicates with users on service request status and updates IT trouble tickets Strong technical knowledge of DoD enterprise networks, client computing environments, and cybersecurity compliance requirements Performs system installation, configuration, patching, and maintenance to ensure system availability, integrity, confidentiality, and compliance Experience with COMSEC devices and responsibilities, including TACLANEs, ViPERs, key management, and COMSEC manager duties Maintains and administers networked systems to ensure defined performance levels and operational readiness Installs, configures, and maintains software and hardware supporting operational infrastructure Coordinates across multiple organizations to resolve complex technical issues and ensure system interoperability Provides first-line support for account management, applications, and peripherals Experience with Linux and Windows system administration, including scripting, configuration, and troubleshooting Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and enterprise account/permission management Familiarity with system monitoring, logging, backup and recovery procedures, and documentation best practices Understanding of virtualization technologies and core networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing) Additional Duties Required for SAP Environments: Manages classified information systems in accordance with SAP security policies, directives, and accreditation requirements Supports RMF activities for SAP systems, including maintaining system baselines, security controls, and configuration documentation Reviews and maintains audit logs, ensuring audit mechanisms are active, protected, and compliant with SAP requirements Manages and controls removable media in accordance with SAP policy, including tracking, sanitization, labeling, and secure storage Manages privileged accounts and enforces least‑privilege access in SAP environments, including periodic access reviews Applies patches and system changes in accordance with SAP change control and security review procedures Supports ISSO/ISSM with system security documentation, inspections, audits, POA&Ms, and accreditation activities Coordinates with SAP security personnel for system access, equipment movement, and facility controls Supports incident response activities, including reporting, containment, recovery, and documentation for SAP systems

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree in Information security, computer information systems, or a related field, such as IT, science, or engineering. A High School Diploma plus 6 years of applicable experience or an Associate's degree with 4 years of relevant experience will meet the education qualification in lieu of BS degree.
  • At least 3 years' relevant experience
  • Experience with COMSEC, including devices such as TACLANEs, ViPERs, Key Management.
  • Experience with enterprise software management for large organizations
  • Ability to effectively communicate between multiple organizations to resolve technical issues
  • Must have a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance, due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements.
  • Ability to operate effectively in both Collateral and SAP environments, adhering to all security, access, and handling requirements
  • Possess proper and current information assurance certification to perform information assurance functions in accordance with DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce Qualification requirements, including: Completion of required baseline training for the System Administrator work role Possession of an approved DoD 8140‑aligned certification appropriate for the Intermediate proficiency level (e.g., Security+, CCNA, Linux+, or other role‑approved certifications as defined by the organization’s 8140 implementation guidance) Continuing education and professional development consistent with DoD 8140 requirements for maintaining work role proficiency
