About The Position

The Senior Network Analyst at Midcontinent Independent System Operator, Inc. in Carmel, IN will provide all aspects of support to maintain wide area networks, local area networks, and telecommunication services, including hardware (routers, switches etc.), software, and strategic planning for the total data network. Specifically, this role will update the CORE equipment of the MISO network, including defining and implementing business, technical, and functional requirements of the data network and telecommunication systems; deploy and support network-based security configurations and appliances; and identify key measurements and develop processes to collect metrics for monitoring. Evaluate and deploy hardware/software releases for business and technical needs and plan deployment to meet testing, service levels, security, and quality standards. Guide the design, development, and support of telecommunications solutions, including diagnosing performance issues, opening and maintaining trouble tickets, and troubleshooting problems to resolution or referring them to higher level support as required. Identify, define, and develop key measurements and a processes to collect metrics for monitoring. Telecommuting is permissible up to 2 days per week. #LI-NDI #LI-DNI #LI-DNP #INDdni

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and 5 years of progressively responsible experience in networking and telecommunications technologies
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in networking principles and technologies, including path selection control using L2 and L3 protocols, BGP and EIGRP routing protocols, redundant switch design and implementation, network encryption and tunneling, and carrier network deployment in a multi-site environment configuring MP-BGP on MPLS
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in telecommunications principles and technologies, including monitoring and troubleshooting techniques
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in development, design, support, or monitoring of networks and data services
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in communications services domain, including IEEE standard guidelines
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in relevant programming languages and practices, including Python and REST
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in Visio or other documentation software
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience in Design and support of Cisco collaboration architecture technologies
  • Must have 1 year of experience with cybersecurity systems, firewalls, and IPS
  • Must have 1 year of experience with software-defined networking (SDN)-related technologies and services
  • Must have 1 year of experience with Cisco APIC (Application Policy Infrastructure Controller) and ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure)
