About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Telecom & Network Analysis Engineer to support critical defense and intelligence customer missions. The role focuses on telecom-based network analysis at the Data Link layer, including developing custom XKS fingerprints and microplugins. It combines hands-on network engineering with enterprise routing and switching platforms and legacy and transport protocols to address complex protocol analysis and signals intelligence problems. An active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required. The annual base salary range is $144,000–$171,000 USD, excluding discretionary bonus compensation and benefits. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, skill level, and other factors.

Requirements

Active security clearance at the TS/SCI polygraph level.
Strong expertise in telecom-based network analysis and deep knowledge of Data Link layer (Layer 2) protocols.
Hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and analyzing enterprise or carrier network infrastructure, specifically Cisco and Huawei platforms.
In-depth understanding of and experience with MPLS and SDH networks.
Proven ability to develop XKS fingerprints and custom microplugins.
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline, plus 8 or more years of professional experience in data science, NLP, or software engineering; alternatively, a high school diploma or GED plus 12 or more years of specialized technical experience in lieu of a degree.

Nice To Haves

Direct experience supporting operational environments and working with specialized operational toolsets.
Proficiency in Python, Perl, C/C++, or shell scripting for custom tool creation and data parsing.
Hands-on experience using packet analyzers such as Wireshark to reverse-engineer uncommon or custom transport protocols.
Relevant network or security certifications, such as CCNA/CCNP, HCIA/HCIP, or Security+.

Responsibilities

Analyze telecom-based networks, with a focus on Data Link layer protocols.
