About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Network Administrator with an active TS/SCI clearance and CI Polygraph to join our team. This role involves designing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex Layer 2/3 data center architectures. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical guidance to junior members, and stay current with networking trends. The position requires travel up to 20% and has an opportunity to work from the Chantilly, VA location by the end of the year, though the primary location is McLean, VA. A current IAM Level II certification is mandatory.

Requirements

  • Proven experience designing, configuring, and managing complex BGP, VXLAN, and Layer 2/3 data center architectures.
  • Expertise in designing and troubleshooting complex Layer 2/3 network topologies.
  • Experience with redundancy protocols such as MCLAG (Multi-Chassis Link Aggregation Group) or LACP.
  • Experience with Spine-Leaf data center fabrics, including architecture design and implementation.
  • Ability and willingness to develop and maintain expertise in RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCEv2) supporting ultra-high-speed data transfers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality work.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to stay current with industry trends and technology advancements.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
  • Current IAM Level II certification to satisfy DoD 8570 IAT requirements.

  • Experience with Linux-based Network Operating Systems (NOS).
  • Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to junior network professionals.
  • Experience supporting high-performance or AI-focused data center environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain cutting-edge and complex Layer 2/3 data center architectures using BGP, ECMP, VXLAN, MCLAG, Spine-Leaf topologies, RoCEv2, and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective network solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues and help drive incidents through resolution.
  • Provide expert technical guidance and support to junior team members, contributing to their professional growth and development.
  • Participate in network installations, upgrades, implementations, testing, and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the documentation of network infrastructure designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Stay current on networking trends, technologies, and best practices and proactively expand technical expertise.
  • Support the design, implementation, and optimization of networking infrastructure supporting AI and other demanding workloads.
  • Travel up to 20% as required to perform on-site installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational support at customer sites or data centers.
