About The Position

Wells Fargo's Wealth & Investment Management (WIM) is making a significant multi-year investment in its e-Brokerage platform to provide a more compelling and competitive offering to customers. This investment will add important new capabilities and features for both self-directed and automated investing, and provide new fully native mobile experiences. To support these customer-centric enhancements and ensure the platform scales for future success, a technology modernization effort is underway to improve time to market and leverage public cloud capabilities. The WIMT Digital team manages, develops, and supports customer-facing brokerage systems, with approximately 170 engineers globally. The team's engineers are a mix of full stack, front-end, and back-end service experts who utilize the firm's commitment to ongoing professional development. The team has a separate first-line support team, allowing engineers to focus on their objectives. Their partnership with the business and co-ownership of work through the Agile product operating model provides opportunities to work directly with business partners and deepen business understanding. This role is within the Wealth and Investment Management Technology (WIMT) team for the Digital and Advice and Planning Team, focusing on providing functionality to Digital and Advice Planning Product owners by building highly scalable enterprise products. The selected candidate will be experienced in application development and maintenance, striving to provide creative, innovative, yet practical solutions.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of hands-on .NET development with an emphasis on backend development
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud technologies including AWS

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of front-end web development such as Angular or React
  • 2+ years of Financial Services industry experience
  • 5+ years of experience managing stakeholders up to senior level executives
  • Experience implementing AI tools into daily workflows
  • Experience supporting vendor products and out of the box enhancements

Responsibilities

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
