About The Position

BIICS, Inc is looking to fill a Senior NET Developer position. The position is located in Jacksonville, Florida and work is on-site. This role involves performing development using agile methodology and proper source control, preferably Git on Azure Devops. The developer will prepare detailed specifications and technical design documents, develop new components or modules to meet functionality requirements, and help identify and resolve gaps between requirements and technical design. The position requires close collaboration with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. Ensuring solutions align with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization's architectural standards is crucial. The role follows development methodologies and standards for systems design, coding, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of applications software, with a focus on delivering the final product on time and within budget. Day-to-day involvement includes database design, writing and debugging long and complex stored procedures, triggers, SSIS and SSRS. Writing SQL queries, reviewing query performance, and optimizing code are key tasks. The developer will also debug code and perform thorough and proper unit tests on all aspects of the application, enforcing coding standards including secure coding/development. Input in problem-solving using technical, time management, and analytical skills is expected.

Requirements

Must be able to demonstrate the ability to operate as a Senior/Advanced Developer with strong Microsoft T-SQL and SSIS skills to address tough system challenges.
Must possess strong analytical skills to understand the business rules, complex code and make modifications.
Proficient with Angular and MVC.
Must be familiar with current .NET technologies including C#, ASP.NET, and VB.NET.
Experience with RESTful API integration. RESTful API uses HTTP requests to GET, PUT, POST, and DELETE data.
Proficient in C#, Entity Framework Core, different .Net Frameworks, Angular, TypeScript, MVC, and SQL.
Knowledge of ASP.net, VB.net. AJAX, JQuery, JSON, XML and TFS.
Understanding of web development for both desktop and mobile use.
Ability to work independently on small projects.
Demonstrate excellent organizational, written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Display a high degree of inquisitiveness and an eagerness to learn at a detailed and abstract level.
Highly self-motivated and organized, with a strong business sense to capture and fulfill the business requirements for all products and articulate in an architecture model.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a government organization is a plus.
Secure coding/development experience is preferred.
