About The Position

NTT DATA is seeking a highly skilled Senior .NET Developer to support mission‑critical modernization and application development efforts. This role blends advanced engineering expertise with architectural insight and cross‑team collaboration. You will build high‑performance .NET applications, guide integration across systems, provide technical leadership, and deliver solutions impacting federal scientific and administrative communities.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree, One-and-one- half (1.5) years of additional experience can substitute for one (1) year of a typical degree program.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience designing, developing, and deploying applications using C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience with SQL Server, JavaScript frameworks, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience with Agile/SCRUM development and version control (Git, TFS).
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with React/Angular/Vue.js.
  • Experience with BDD, Windows Workflow Foundation, and microservices patterns.
  • DevOps experience including CI/CD, automated testing, and Docker/Kubernetes.
  • Experience with AI/ML integration, Azure Cognitive Services, or API‑driven data platforms.
  • Excellent communication, customer‑facing interaction, and cross‑team problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop new features using C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, and modern architecture patterns.
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements and end‑to‑end solution designs.
  • Build scalable, secure, high‑performance enterprise applications.
  • Provide technical leadership across multiple systems and integration layers.
  • Support full SDLC: design, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
  • Maintain and modernize existing applications while supporting new enhancements.
  • Work across cross‑functional teams including product owners, QA specialists, and business stakeholders.
  • Manage backlog items including new features, bug fixes, and modernization work.
  • Contribute to migration toward cloud‑native architectures in Azure.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, secure deployments, and engineering best practices.
  • Integrate AI‑assisted tools (GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex) to enhance development quality and velocity.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to code reviews and architecture reviews.
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, documentation rigor, testing frameworks, and secure SDLC practices.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues spanning UI, backend, and distributed systems.
