About The Position

The Senior Applications Developer (.NET Development Team) develops, analyzes, troubleshoots, and supports .NET-based applications, which are responsible for Arizona Department of Revenue tax accounting systems. As part of the .NET Development Team, this role will be responsible for the design and development of client and/or server solutions in order to meet required business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (e.g., B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of eight years programming experience, at least three of which in development
• Previous experience designing and developing client/server solutions
• AI Application Experience (Required): A minimum of 1 to 2 years of professional software development experience hand-coding and building application logic using AI-assisted engineering tools (specifically GitHub Copilot or VS Code AI Extensions) and/or programmatically developing enterprise application features with AWS Bedrock and Anthropic Claude.

• Proficient in the use of a PC in a Windows environment; in the use of the Internet; in the use of MS Office Applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel, PowerPoint; and in the use of Google Suite applications such as Gmail, Sheets, Docs, and Drive.
• Strong proficiency in the use of MS Visual Studio, .NET Core, .NET Framework, C Sharp (C#), Entity Framework, T-SQL Programing, Java Script, Windows Communication Foundation, ASP.NET, MVC Pattern, REST principles, Dependency Injection, ADO.NET, Unit Testing, Complex XML Schema Definitions, AzureDevOps and/or TFS.
• AI Application Competency (Required): Demonstrated ability to hand-code application logic while leveraging AI-assisted environments (GitHub Copilot , VS Code AI extensions) and programmatically developing application integrations with AWS Bedrock and Anthropic Claude.
• Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and also participate collaboratively as part of a team
• Ability to understand and solve problems by applying intermediate analytical skills to include collecting all the relevant information and data needed to address the problem; organizing, classifying and synthesizing the data into fundamental issues; from the information, identifying the most probable causes of the problem; reducing the information down into manageable components; identifying the logical outcomes from the analyses of the data collected; and, identifying the options and solutions for addressing the problems analyzed.
