About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior .NET and SSRS Developer to design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise reporting solutions and web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with SSRS, SQL Server, Oracle, .NET Core MVC, C#, ETL processes, database development, and large-scale data environments. This position requires a developer who can independently manage technical assignments, work directly with business users, troubleshoot complex reporting and database issues, and deliver reliable solutions using Agile development practices.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of related software development, reporting, or database-development experience.
  • Extensive experience developing reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services.
  • Strong experience using SQL Server Integration Services for ETL operations.
  • In-depth experience with .NET Core, MVC, and C#.
  • Experience with dependency injection and modern .NET application-design practices.
  • Strong experience with JavaScript and jQuery.
  • Extensive experience working with large datasets and reports built from multiple data sources.
  • Strong Oracle database experience, including PL/SQL and SQL Developer.
  • Strong SQL Server experience, including T-SQL and SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Experience creating and maintaining stored procedures, functions, views, queries, and other database objects.
  • Strong understanding of relational database design and data modeling.
  • Ability to analyze and understand complex database structures and relationships.
  • Experience tuning SQL queries, database objects, and SSRS reports for performance.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps and Git-based source-code repositories.
  • Experience creating and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong testing, troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments and priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, modify, and maintain complex SSRS reports.
  • Develop and maintain database objects within SQL Server and Oracle environments.
  • Create and support web applications using .NET Core, MVC, and C#.
  • Develop SQL Server Integration Services packages to perform ETL and data-integration operations.
  • Work with large datasets and create reports using multiple enterprise data sources.
  • Write and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and other SQL Server database objects.
  • Write and maintain PL/SQL queries and database objects within Oracle environments.
  • Perform performance tuning to improve the speed, reliability, and scalability of SSRS reports and database queries.
  • Design relational and multidimensional database solutions.
  • Analyze existing database structures, data models, relationships, and reporting requirements.
  • Test reports, applications, ETL processes, and database objects before deployment and user acceptance testing.
  • Work directly with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document technical and functional requirements.
  • Ensure reporting and application solutions meet business, technical, security, and performance requirements.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of reporting database solutions.
  • Configure and maintain report servers, access permissions, and reporting security.
  • Publish reports to Power BI Service workspaces.
  • Create and manage Power BI deployment pipelines across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Create, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application builds and deployments.
  • Use Azure DevOps to manage work items, assignments, project status updates, and time estimates.
  • Use Git for source-code management, version control, branching, and code collaboration.
  • Research functionality included in new software releases and support system upgrade activities.
  • Apply Agile software-development principles throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Follow established application-development, database, reporting, documentation, and security standards.
  • Document technical solutions, configurations, processes, code changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members regarding development standards and best practices.
  • Independently execute assigned tasks while maintaining strong communication with project leadership and business users.
