About The Position

Pantheon Data has a need for a Senior Naval Architect that is looking to continue their maritime experience. This candidate will work within the Ship Design Team to provide engineering support to the United States Coast Guard on a variety of acquisition and sustainment projects.

Requirements

• Experience with naval architecture software solving complex problems regarding hull design.
• Experience with corrosion principles of metals for surface assets and boats.
• Knowledge of USN, USCG, IACS and/or commercial ship design rules and regulations.
• Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
• 6 years of Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering designing functional internal and topside arrangements for marine vessels, preparation of functional studies of stability and safety, studies and calculations for determination of machinery.
• Experience with Government or commercial shipbuilding programs.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust prior to hire and maintain during employment is required.

Nice To Haves

• DoD ACAT I or DHS Level I shipbuilding programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review Naval Architecture design work related to stability, speed, power.
• Conduct, witness, and document tests including stability, speed, power, maneuvering, and seakeeping trials.
• Review and provide guidance on shipboard structural components and arrangements.
• Review and provide feedback on design reviews for compliance and alignment with project goals.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, program management, and customer teams to ensure technical excellence and timely delivery.
