About The Position

Kleinfelder, a Forbes' Top Employer for Engineers in North America, is seeking a Senior Water and Wastewater/Municipal Project Manager to join their Water Team serving Eastern PA, NY and NJ. This role is ideal for a mid-career professional looking for an influential position to help grow and diversify the business. The candidate will be responsible for identifying, proposing, and winning business pursuits with existing and new clients, nurturing client relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary water/wastewater projects. The position can be based in Hamilton, NJ, New Providence, NJ, Allentown PA or Philadelphia (Exton) PA and offers a hybrid work model. Client and project travel in the region will be required. The successful candidate will report to the Area Water Operations Manager.

Requirements

5+ years of related high-level client management experience.
10-15 years of total professional and project management experience in a consulting engineering firm or related service.
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering or related field.
Professional registration (PE) in New Jersey and ability to obtain licenses in PA, NY and other states if requested.
Proven business development and project management experience in water/wastewater/municipal infrastructure with design consulting firms.
Business acumen related to project management, portfolio financials and risk management.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, communication and technical writing skills.
Value quality and detail in delivery.

Nice To Haves

Master’s Degree Preferred.
Use of Deltek or the like CRM software

Responsibilities

Support proposal efforts at all levels, develop client/project capture plans.
Participate in project scoping activities and proposal presentations.
Build strong relationships and interact regularly with key clients, teaming partners and stakeholders linked to the market.
Continuously interact with clients assuring satisfaction with Company services and work closely with project delivery personnel to ensure any service issues are identified and addressed in a proactive manner.
Engage in industry groups and actively participate in committees and/or Board governance.
Reinforce collaboration and team building, ensure client focus, demonstrate commitment to excellence and innovation, and motivate others to ensure positive morale and engagement.
Help maintain their CRM activities and data.
Provide input on business development priorities, budget and expenditures.
Successfully manage projects and technical task teams for the delivery of work.
Support the identification and mitigation of risks and commercial terms during the project lifecycle.
