About The Position

AtkinsRealis is seeking a Senior Multimedia Designer to join our team in Orlando, Miami, Tampa, FL, Austin, Houston, Dallas, TX, Atlanta, GA or Denver, CO or any other office in the US. Under the supervision of the Digital Design Director, Creative Services Manager, Marketing Services Manager or other assigned supervisor, the Sr Multimedia Designer is responsible for innovative and complex multimedia, animation, construction sequencing, interactive 3D and gaming environments, and graphic design projects to support projects and proposals. The Sr Multimedia Designer II is fully capable of conceptualizing complex designs independently and may assist the supervisor by giving guidance to other multimedia designers or team members. Assistance in the scheduling and the production coordination of projects is required ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on time. The Senior Multimedia Designer position requires a minimum of 7 years experience and working knowledge of current gaming, graphic and multimedia design, illustration, photography, and animation software. Working knowledge of multiple software packages from among the following: Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, DVD Studio Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Maya, PowerPoint, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Cinema 4D, TwinMotion, UnReal, Unity, Synchro 4D, Lumion, LumenRT, SketchUp, Acrobat Professional, Keynote and Director are required. Candidates with construction sequencing, gaming, and rendering experience are desired. Proficient knowledge and experience using the MS Office Suite of programs is also required. At this level the ability to conceptualize complex design and layout skills, proficient proofreading skills and strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years experience in all phases of graphic, multimedia, video and web design to provide proficient execution of page layout, type specification, use and manipulation of color, photo compositing and manipulation, video and audio creation and development, presentation and web development, and general file management ability.
  • Working knowledge of multiple software packages from among the following: Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, DVD Studio Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Maya, PowerPoint, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Cinema 4D, TwinMotion, UnReal, Unity, Synchro 4D, Lumion, LumenRT, SketchUp, Acrobat Professional, Keynote and Director are required.
  • Artistic ability, conceptual skills and computer proficiency with both MAC and PC platforms.
  • Solid knowledge of current graphic and multimedia design, illustration, photography, and animation software and hardware.
  • Knowledge of hardware output devices to achieve desired results.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience using the MS Office Suite of programs is also required.
  • Ability to conceptualize complex design and layout skills, proficient proofreading skills and strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Provides multimedia, video, gaming, web development and graphic design services for graphics and electronic media projects.
  • Gives technical assistance for proposals and presentations, multimedia projects, video projects, and web development assignments.
  • Independently conceptualizes complex designs for any type of media project and reviews and refines the concepts with supervisor’s assistance. This includes formats for advertisements, brochures and other collateral materials as well as animations, immersive 3D environments, video presentations, web presentations, websites, and graphic simulations.
  • Conducts research to select and secure suitable illustrative and photographic materials.
  • Studies illustrations, photographs, video, animation, programming code, and copy to plan presentation of material.
  • Creates or selects and modifies 3D models, illustration, photography, video, animation, code, and writing as required to meet project needs.
  • Scans in photographs and illustration; digitizes video and audio; renders animation and video composites and establishes appropriate type style, size, spacing, color and composition for various projects.
  • Executes layouts and renderings, utilizing electronic design, illustration, photo, video, animation, and web development hardware and input/output devices.
  • Operates peripheral equipment associated with computer graphics, media, video/animation, and output.
  • Verifies and coordinates with co-workers assigned to the same project to ensure consistency in format and quality, consulting with supervisor on final layout, medium, style and design, and any problem areas.
  • Organizes and maintains graphic request folders, labor sheets, and timesheets.
  • Performs other such duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
