About The Position

Radiance Technologies is an employee-owned company seeking a talented software engineer to join our Modeling and Simulation (M&S) development team. The candidate will work with a diverse team of software engineers, data scientists, and analysts to develop solutions supporting various Department of Defense and Intelligence Community projects. The role involves developing and integrating high-fidelity models and software solutions into the AFSIM Modeling & Simulation framework using Agile practices, and expanding wsf_python and other tools within AFSIM. This is a full-stack developer position requiring proficiency in AFSIM.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of M&S development experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years software development experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years C++ and Python3 experience.
  • Experience following agile development processes.
  • Experience using tools such as git, Bitbucket, Gitlab, Jenkins, Gitlab runners or similar.
  • Experience developing software for Linux platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with a full technical stack, including backend framework development, network programming, CICD, scientific computing, regression test development, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
  • Experience working with modeling and simulation tools, such as AFSIM, NGTS, and ITASE.
  • Experience with virtual machine and container management platforms such as WSL2 and Docker.
  • Experience with integrated development environments such as Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, PyCharm, or similar.
  • Familiarity with DoD security practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate high fidelity models and software solutions into the AFSIM Modeling & Simulation framework.
  • Develop and expand wsf_python and other tools into AFSIM.
  • Work with a diverse team of software engineers, data scientists, and analysts.
  • Explore and develop solutions in support of AFRL, NASIC, DARPA and other Department of Defense and Intelligence Community projects.
  • Utilize modern Agile software development practices.
