About The Position

Genies is built on the belief that every website, app, game, brand, and human will have an AI persona. Genies' avatars are the visual identity of the next internet. This contract role sits at the center of that: you'll own the quality and technical integrity of 3D character and prop assets that ship into our real-time avatar platform, used by millions.

Requirements

A portfolio of real-time character work that demonstrates and understands both technical discipline (clean topology, correct UVs, optimized textures) and genuine artistic taste.
Deep experience in Maya, ZBrush, and Substance — and curiosity about what comes next.
Comfort working with ambiguity: concept-to-shipped without a step-by-step brief.
Familiarity with Unity import pipelines and real-time rendering constraints

Nice To Haves

experience with avatar systems, procedural asset generation, or AI-assisted modeling tools.

Responsibilities

End-to-end production of avatar-ready 3D assets — from concept interpretation through high-poly sculpt, optimized lowpoly modeling, and texturing — that meet our technical budgets and raise our visual bar.
Pipeline fluency: you know when to use traditional tools and when to reach for AI-assisted workflows (generative model, textures, and mesh optimization, AI retopo) to move faster without sacrificing craft.
Collaboration with Art Directors and Engineers to ensure assets behave correctly inside our Avatar Framework — not just look good in isolation.
