About The Position

LHP Engineering Solutions LLC seeks a Senior Model Based Controls Engineer in Pontiac MI. Telecommuting permitted 100% of time. Duties include applying quality assurance techniques, compiling data and defining software changes, conducting software vulnerability assessments, and contributing to innovative solutions. The role involves coordinating customer input, performing root cause analysis, representing the development team, and working with cross-functional teams to architect and implement complex solutions. This includes confirming software feature integration with control systems (sensors, ECUs, actuators for vehicle motion, stability, and safety), defining controls and model requirements, and architecting controls systems (shifting from distributed to centralized/zonal architectures for software-defined vehicles). The engineer will design, analyze, implement, and verify using MIL, SIL, and HIL techniques. Responsibilities also include designing and providing technical documents, modeling and integrating software in real-time embedded environments, developing and analyzing requirements, developing controls solutions using model-based definition techniques, ensuring process compliance, participating in software reviews, and collaborating with product development teams to design control algorithms.
