About The Position
Onyx Odds is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to join their fast-growing prediction platform. This role involves working directly with the founding team to build and scale the mobile experience for millions of users. The ideal candidate will have experience building consumer-facing mobile applications and contributing to both technical architecture and product development.
Requirements
- Computer Science degree from a top university
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including significant experience with React Native
- Experience building and maintaining consumer-facing mobile applications
- Thrive in a startup environment where you can take ownership, move quickly, and help shape both the product and the engineering culture
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React Native, and modern mobile development practices
Nice To Haves
- Experience in fintech, gaming, sports, social products, or other consumer applications is a plus
- A background or interest in sports
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain features across our iOS and Android applications using React Native
- Help shape and improve the mobile architecture, including application structure, state management, and performance
- Own projects from inception to production, including architecture decisions, implementation, testing, and monitoring
- Collaborate directly with founders on product direction, roadmap, and prioritization
- Support release processes across the App Store and Google Play
