About The Position

The Intelligence Platform team builds systems that enable Apple teams to use technologies such as generative AI, graph machine learning, and private learning across Apple’s operating systems. The platform receives, processes, responds to, and remembers information to support user-centric knowledge and inferences.

As a Senior Engineer on the Intelligence Platform Team, you will design and build a platform that helps teams across Apple bring intelligence to their applications and services. You will collaborate with teams on model training, qualification, deployment, and serving; design and refine systems and APIs for machine learning and generative AI; adapt model architectures to execution-environment constraints; and work with Apple leadership to define policy. The role brings research into products used by Apple customers worldwide.

Requirements

• Excellent software design, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Background architecting and building data or machine learning platforms.
• Experience building on large language models or other generative models.
• Proven ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply cutting-edge research to tangible applications.
• Deep understanding of multithreaded programming and synchronization.

Nice To Haves

• Experience building production feature-engineering pipelines.
• Experience with distributed data systems.
• Experience with macOS or iOS development.
