About The Position

nou Systems, Inc. (nSI) is seeking a Senior Missile Defense Space-Based Interceptor (SBI) Analyst to join their Engineering Services Division in Huntsville, Alabama. This role supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) mission to develop and deploy a layered Missile Defense System. The selected candidate will be part of a team supporting the MDA Technical, Engineering, Advisory and Management Support (TEAMS)-Next Specialized Engineering Analyses (SEA) contract, focusing on advanced concepts and technologies for missile defense. The position is within the MDA Engineering Directorate, Enterprise Analysis, Assessment, and Verification group, specifically contributing to rigorous analytical products related to Space-Based Interceptor (SBI) efforts to inform engineering decisions and guide future testing and development.

Requirements

  • This position is open only to US Citizens.
  • 12+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD programs/projects or industry equivalent.
  • Master of Science or Master of Arts degree.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and critical thinking abilities.
  • Capable of working independently and/or leading teams to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Able to provide daily supervision and direction to support teams.
  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with one or more elements of the Missile Defense System.
  • Familiarity with Joint Analysis Teams and their roles within the Missile Defense Agency.

Responsibilities

  • Providing technical support to the Missile Defense Agency on the MDA Technical, Engineering, Advisory and Management Support (TEAMS)-Next Specialized Engineering Analyses (SEA) contract.
  • Supporting all aspects of MDA testing (particularly flight testing) through proactive communication and close coordination with internal and external partners.
  • Contributing to the design, planning, and execution of missile defense flight tests, including development of test objectives and assessment requirements.
  • Participating in MDA Joint Analysis Team (JAT) activities, integrating multi-disciplinary analysis to support informed decision-making.
  • Applying knowledge of missile defense test resources, range operations, and procedures (e.g., frequency spectrum allocation, range safety).
  • Providing clear, actionable test requirements to contractors supporting flight test activities.
  • Establishing and communicating Go/No‑Go criteria for flight testing.
  • Developing analytical tools related to test objectives, flyouts, delta‑v calculations, predicted intercept points, and similar mission‑planning elements.
  • Traveling as required to support test planning, execution, and analysis activities.
