About The Position

Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company providing a unique range of analytical testing services. This role involves performing maintenance, calibration, and qualification of laboratory instrumentation, ensuring compliance with quality systems and regulatory requirements. The Senior Metrology Engineer will also be responsible for advanced troubleshooting and repair of instrumentation, implementing and validating new instruments, and providing guidance and training to technical personnel. The position emphasizes maintaining instruments in a validated state, ensuring timely and accurate documentation, and actively participating in process improvement initiatives and teamwork.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in physical science, engineering, or information technology
8 years GxP, laboratory, and/or instrument maintenance and repair experience
ISO 17025 Calibration and Measurement of Uncertainty experience
Experience performing and documenting instrument trouble shooting, non-routine events, and/or validations
Experience writing technical documents (e.g. procedures, investigations)
Experience developing instrument validation deliverables (e.g. protocols, test scripts) within a GXP environment
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

A combination of college and related technical experience will be considered (e.g. 12+ years experience)

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, calibration, and/or qualification of routine and advanced laboratory instrumentation in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.
Maintain compliance of quality systems and laboratory instrumentation.
Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of laboratory instrumentation.
Implement/validate routine instrumentation and assist with research/implementation/validation of advanced instrumentation.
Provide oversight, guidance, and training to technical personnel.
Maintain routine instruments in a validated state at all times.
Perform assessment, trouble-shooting, repair.
Ensure completion of preventative maintenance, routine testing, and assigned validation testing.
Ensure all activities are completed on time, accurately documented, and in compliance with existing quality systems.
Ensure that the quality policy program is understood, implemented and maintained at all times.
Organize schedule in a manner such that higher priority projects and tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Ensure completion of all assigned tasks according to company and department stated TAT's.
Active involvement with process improvement initiatives.
Foster teamwork internally and with technical groups to increase overall quality.
Take responsibility for group success by assisting and supporting team members.
Provide guidance and coaching within a team environment.
