About The Position

C&Y Global Inc. is seeking a Senior Metal Scrap Buyer to join their growing team. This role is responsible for purchasing non-ferrous scrap metals, developing and growing partnerships with international and domestic customers, and understanding market trends. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, excellent customer focus, and the ability to develop strategic plans for raw material sourcing and sales. This is a long-term career opportunity with a company that has been steadily increasing revenue since its establishment in 2004.

Requirements

Minimum of 3+ to 5+ years of successful experience in the non-ferrous scrap industry.
Extensive professional network of suppliers and customers within the non-ferrous metals industry.
The ability to excel under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, rapidly process information and make decisions based on market dynamics.
Team player with the ability to build relationships and effectively interact both internally and externally with people at all levels of the organization.
Excellent negotiations skills.
Microsoft Office experience.
Demonstrated ability to influence others and effect change.
Highest level of personal and professional integrity.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the purchasing of non-ferrous scrap metals.
Develop and grow partnerships with international and domestic customers.
Consistent communication and regular travel to meet end objectives.
Negotiating skills that combine the characteristics of a professional relationship and a well-developed strategy.
Provide excellent customer focus to result in client satisfaction.
Understand market trends within the non-ferrous metals markets.
Assist in developing strategic plans for generating new sources and sales of raw material.
Develop knowledge of scrap metal markets and the various tools necessary to compete (terminal markets, swaps, tolls, formula pricing, hedging, etc.).
