  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture, business, economics, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered

Responsibilities

  • Manage a full merchandising book: Originate grain from farmers and market grain to feed, processing, export, and other end-user customers, balancing supply, demand, margin, and asset needs.
  • Build strategic relationships: Develop and maintain trusted relationships with Idaho producers, commercial grain customers, and industry partners to create repeat business and long-term value.
  • Drive profitable decisions: Evaluate local and broader market conditions, identify trading and merchandising opportunities, negotiate purchases and sales, and achieve volume, margin, and profitability objectives.
  • Manage positions and risk: Monitor futures, basis, spreads, contracts, inventory, and counterparty exposure; maintain disciplined position management and operate within established risk parameters.
  • Lead execution across Idaho: Partner with Idaho operations, logistics, accounting, agronomy, and the broader merchandising team to align grain flows, transportation, quality, contract execution, and customer service across the company's Idaho assets.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary plus a bonus structure tied directly to your performance.
