About The Position

JLL is seeking a Senior MEP Construction Project Manager to deliver projects for a technology client. This role involves serving as the MEP subject matter expert for commercial office building systems, clean rooms, electronic labs, generators, and central plants. It is a client-facing position critical for project delivery, working with the JLL project team and specialized vendor consultants. The role requires performing high-quality project management with strong governance, thorough documentation, and efficient communication. You will interface extensively with engineers, architects, vendors, and client leadership to integrate new MEP systems into existing building infrastructure, lead and manage laboratory construction from initiation to closeout, and maintain project scope and budget. Ensuring project-related documentation is complete and providing key metrics for client leadership decision-making is also crucial. Building strong business relationships through a consultative approach, sharing best practices, and guiding parties through design, implementation, and sign-off phases are key responsibilities. You will manage project schedules, budget tracking, change orders, and approvals, address risks and escalations, and communicate progress, issues, and solutions. Collaboration with facility managers and operations teams for smooth transition and handover is expected. Risk assessments and mitigation strategies are also part of the role.

Requirements

10+ years of project management experience
MEP Commercial Construction experience
Ability to thrive in a high-pace environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders
Proactive and situational leadership skills in people and project management
Self-motivation and desire to consistently deliver with excellence
Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable ownership approach
Experience working with large organizations with complex technical environments and managing relationships with internal client teams, service providers, and vendors
Strong customer focus with demonstrated ability to work seamlessly with business stakeholders, end-users, and vendors
Ability to operate independently with general guidance
Experience with MS Project, MS Office suite, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Performing high-quality project management with strong governance, thorough documentation, and efficient communication including project frameworks, minutes, status updates, risk management plans, and meetings.
Interface extensively with engineers, architects, vendors, and client leadership to integrate new MEP systems into existing building infrastructure.
Lead and manage laboratory construction within a larger project from initiation to closeout.
Maintaining project scope and budget throughout project delivery.
Ensuring project-related documentation is complete and provides key metrics to support client leadership decision-making.
Establishing strong business relationships with key stakeholders through a consultative approach, sharing best practices and market trends to drive stakeholder decision-making.
Serve as the MEP subject matter expert for stakeholders, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Guide all parties through design, implementation, and sign-off phases.
Manage project schedules, budget tracking, change orders, and approvals.
Address immediate project risks or escalations.
Communicate progress, issues, and solutions to clients and management.
Collaborate with facility managers and operations teams to ensure smooth transition and handover of laboratory facilities.
Track and report project performance, update stakeholders on progress, and manage project-related documentation.
Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project risks and disruptions.
