About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr. MSL) to join our Atlantic Division. The Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr. MSL) serves as a key scientific bridge between Labcorp and the healthcare community. You will establish long-term, science-based relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), clinicians, and administrative stakeholders to ensure the delivery of accurate, relevant scientific information. By providing high-level clinical education and leading community engagement initiatives, the Sr. MSL supports the adoption of advanced diagnostics and fosters collaboration across the broader healthcare ecosystem to improve patient outcomes and health equity.

Requirements

  • Advanced clinical or scientific degree (e.g., PhD, PharmD, MS, or Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant (PA) in relevant biological or medical science.
  • 5+ years of experience in the diagnostic industry, specifically within medical affairs, clinical diagnostics, or a related field-based scientific role.
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% within Atlantic Division
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex scientific data for both high-level clinical audiences and community-level stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage a high-travel schedule and operate effectively in a remote, field-based environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven track record of building relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and leading community-based engagement or health equity initiatives.
  • Clinical knowledge across multiple therapeutic areas, with specific emphasis on Oncology (NGS), Neurology (Alzheimer’s biomarkers), Women’s Health, and Autoimmune.
  • Must reside in one of Atlantic Division states: Maryland, District of Columbia (D.C.), Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage high-level relationships with C-suite, clinical, and administrative leaders in alignment with divisional senior leadership.
  • Act as the primary liaison to KOLs, influential clinicians, and advisory boards to foster strategic partnerships and scientific exchange.
  • Lead divisional strategies to expand Labcorp’s diagnostic footprint within hospitals, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), and large physician organizations.
  • Lead divisional community engagement strategies to increase diagnostic awareness and access within local health systems and community organizations.
  • Collaborate with patient advocacy groups and community leaders to identify and address gaps in care, particularly in underserved populations.
  • Design and deliver community-focused educational initiatives that translate complex clinical data into accessible information for non-clinical stakeholders and advocates.
  • Serve as the definitive resource on the Labcorp extensive testing portfolio, including but not limited to Neurology (e.g., pTau-217 Alzheimer’s blood testing), Oncology (Liquid/Solid NGS), Cardiometabolic, Women’s Health, and Infectious Disease.
  • Deliver one-on-one education, small group discussions, and formal presentations to providers, payers, and health system partners.
  • Partner with Medical Directors at insurance providers and professional guideline committees to ensure appropriate product utilization and coverage.
  • Provide clinical education and technical support to field sales, marketing, R&D, and clinical teams.
  • Attend key medical conferences and provide comprehensive summaries of emerging data and community health trends for senior leadership.
