The Senior Medical Recruiter will also build relationships with key stakeholders, maintain candidate records, and contribute to recruiting initiatives. Understanding and recruiting for various practice lines, including Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine, Outpatient Medicine, Psychiatry, Neurology, Anesthesiology, and Tele-Medicine, is essential. The position involves managing hard-to-recruit sites, attending relevant meetings and conferences, and collaborating with other departments like Business Development and HR to share market intelligence and best practices. The role also includes providing salary and market assessments, assisting with outreach to various medical programs, and preparing offer letters and hire documents. Continuous communication with applicants throughout the process and staying updated on Vituity's policies are key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of recent Recruiting experience required.
  • 1-2 years working for a practice management company or physician recruiting firm required.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite for Windows, Internet and other sourcing techniques and expertise with database management preferred.
  • Experience with Taleo is preferred.
  • DEI Recruiting experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in a recruitment agency setting strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in a medical setting desired.
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment preferred.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make decisions in a rapidly growing, professional, service orientated environment preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written and in-person communication skills, including team building and negotiation skills preferred.
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well under pressure preferred.
  • Ability to deal constructively with conflict and use good judgment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and develop leads through advertisements, cold calling, referrals, Internet sources, residency programs, and conventions.
  • Initiate contact and timely follow-up with prospective Emergency Medicine physicians and Advanced Provider candidates, documenting all actions in the database.
  • Develop comprehensive recruiting plans for specific vacancies.
  • Conduct preliminary phone screens, providing site and relevant information on open positions to qualified candidates.
  • Evaluate candidates for positions and organizational match.
  • Work with candidates and Medical Directors to coordinate phone and/or site interviews.
  • Conduct follow-up regarding interviews with all applicants on a timely basis.
  • Discuss the hiring process with new hires during the contracting phase.
  • Conduct verbal reference checks and enter information into appropriate forms.
  • Facilitate identifying appropriate references for written reference checks.
  • Maintain and update candidate records in Taleo, utilizing systems for reports, searches, and listings.
  • Develop strong relationships and communicate regularly with Medical Directors, Regional Directors and/or Vice Presidents, Lead Advanced Providers and/or Regional Advanced Providers.
  • Conduct follow-up calls on all new hires after 30/60/90 days to gauge first impressions and enhance retention efforts.
  • Maintain practice profiles with current site information, credentials requirements, and pay information.
  • Maintain regular contact with new hires until the effective start date and beyond for retention purposes.
  • Act as a consultant to the site to provide recommendations regarding recruiting and interviewing efforts.
  • Recruit for all other practice lines including Hospital Medicine, Outpatient Medicine, Psychiatry, Neurology, Anesthesiology, Tele-Medicine positions when requested.
  • Manage and demonstrate success in recruiting for one (1) or more hard to recruit sites.
  • Provide full cycle recruiting for the Emergency Medicine line of business.
  • Attend all relevant meetings involved with Physician and Advanced Provider issues.
  • Establish ongoing relationships with residency programs and attend residency dinners as needed.
  • Prepare for and attend conferences.
  • Develop recruiting related initiatives that advance the effectiveness of the Core Recruiting function.
  • Work in conjunction with Business Development, Practice Management, Partnership Affairs, HR, and other departments to share market intelligence and best practices.
  • Provide salary and market assessments to the growth team for potential contracts and RFPs through professional network and cold calls.
  • Assist in the development/contact of outreach to Family Practice/Internal Medicine/Critical Care/Pulmonology and other Hospitalist related programs when requested.
  • Assist in the development/contact to Anesthesia related programs when requested.
  • Assist in the development/contact to Psychiatry and Neurology related programs when requested.
  • Prepare and process PA/NP offer letter and hire documents.
  • Communicate relevant information and updates to credentialing and provider enrollment.
  • Review status of application process, maintain as necessary and stay in regular contact with applicant(s).
  • Keep up to date on practice sites and/or Vituity’s policies, procedures, etc. and convey this information appropriately.
