The Senior Medical Director, Oncology Clinical Development is a senior physician leader within the clinical programme team, providing medical oversight, strategic clinical insight, and a patient-centred perspective across the design, conduct, and interpretation of clinical studies. This role ensures that medical considerations, patient safety, and clinical integrity are consistently applied across studies within a programme. Operating within the clinical strategy defined by the Clinical Development Lead (CDL), the Senior Medical Director partners closely with the Senior Scientist and cross-functional teams to guide the integration of physician expertise into study execution and programme-level decision-making. The role serves as a senior member of the Clinical Matrix Team (CMT), contributing to complex clinical decisions, regulatory interactions, and external scientific engagement. The Senior Medical Director provides oversight and guidance to Medical Directors within the programme, supporting consistency of clinical judgement, safety evaluation, and medical interpretation across studies.
