About The Position

Regeneron is seeking a Senior Medical Director to join their Neurology/Myasthenia Gravis Medical Affairs Team. This role is responsible for the co-development of medical strategy and the planning and execution of medical affairs activities. The Senior Medical Director will provide medical leadership, serve as a key scientific/medical resource, and report to the Head of Medical Affairs, Neurology. The position operates within a cross-functional, matrix organization and involves collaboration with external stakeholders such as healthcare practitioners, key opinion leaders, and payers. The role requires maintaining deep scientific and medical knowledge of Neurology/Myasthenia Gravis, the treatment landscape, and clinical decision-making. The individual will be an integral member of the cross-functional Medical Team, responsible for data generation, analysis, and interpretation for Phase 4 studies (interventional and observational). This includes medical content for post-marketing study reports, clinical data analysis, safety monitoring, and ensuring patient safety. The role also involves providing scientific and medical support for strategic medical plans, publications, communications, and integrated evidence generation. Responsibilities include developing and presenting medical content at congresses, symposia, and advisory boards, as well as bringing patient and physician insights to cross-functional teams. Additionally, the Senior Medical Director will provide medical training to internal staff on investigational/approved products, disease states, and unmet needs.

Requirements

  • An M.D. or equivalent with board eligibility or board certification in Neurology is strongly preferred
  • A minimum of 8 years Pharmaceutical / Biotech industry experience (launch experience is preferred)
  • Direct experience in Myasthenia Gravis or Neurology Rare Disease is strongly preferred
  • Experience and ability in working in a dynamic, matrix environment; excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate deep understanding of all medical affairs accountabilities
  • Thorough understanding of Neurology and Myasthenia Gravis healthcare environment and key stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Maintain deep scientific and medical knowledge of Neurology / Myasthenia Gravis, treatment landscape and clinical decision making
  • Function as an integral member of the cross-functional Medical Team
  • Responsible for data generation, data analyses and interpretation as it relates to Phase 4 studies, including interventional and observational research
  • Responsible for the medical content of post-marketing study reports, analyses of clinical data, safety monitoring, and activities that ensure patient safety
  • Provide scientific and medical support for development of strategic medical, publications, communications and integrated evidence generation plans
  • Participate in developing and presenting medical content at congresses, symposia and advisory boards
  • Proactively bring patients' & physicians' voice on cross-functional teams, to enable effective and impactful decision making
  • Provide medical training for internal staff on investigational and/or approved products, disease state and unmet needs
