About The Position

Sentara Community Care Center Berkley in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Full-time Senior Medical Assistant to join their team. This role involves performing patient care related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluation, as delegated or supervised by healthcare professionals. Additionally, the position includes performing administrative duties as appropriate. Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or EMT Basic Certification (EMT).
• Patient Care experience of 3 years (Required)

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluation, and as delegated or assigned by and/or under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Perform administrative duties, as appropriate.
• Participation in Community Events required.
