Senior Medical Assistants/MA-C are MAs with over 2 years of experience (6 months in a PSJH clinic within the last 3 years). In addition to standard MA responsibilities like helping with administrative and clinical tasks, you’ll take on a leadership role and help guide clinic operations and counsel Associate Medical Assistants beginning their careers. After a year of service as a Senior Medical Assistant, and a MA-C designation, you’ll be eligible for a Lead MA promotion and additional leadership responsibilities. The MA III works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA III is capable of performing all aspects of the MA I and MA II roles. Additionally, the MA III proactively takes initiative and serves as an informal leader with additional responsibilities related to clinic/location. MA III serves as an ambassador, change agent, quality champion, and mentor/resource to Medical Assistants by providing support, guidance, and training as needed. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants or, Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program or, Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
  • Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
  • 2 years of Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting.
  • 2 years of Experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion.
  • 6 months of Working experience in a PSJH clinic within the last 3 years.

  • National Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
