About The Position

Relativity Space is seeking a Senior Mechanisms Technician for their Stage Manufacturing team. This role involves turning designs into reality by owning the build of Terran R's primary structures. Technicians will work side-by-side with engineers, providing real-time feedback and shaping how rockets are built faster and better. The position is focused on delivering on Terran R with a manifest and launch date, requiring real-time problem-solving, optimization for scale, and continuous process improvement. Opportunities exist to apply automation, machine learning, and advanced technologies as the vehicle and factory evolve. This role is crucial in setting the blueprint for the future of scaled launch.

Requirements

5+ years of aerospace mechanical experience or related field
Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced environments with flight hardware
Proficient in using calibrated tools such as torque wrenches and precision inspection equipment
Experience in wiring, harnessing, avionic, and building and testing of electro-mechanical systems
Proficiency of relevant aerospace industry standards and specifications, showcasing strong attention to detail and concern for product quality
Experience troubleshooting electrical mechanical assemblies

Nice To Haves

Experience with electrical testing, high and low voltage
Airframe and Powerplant license

Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineering teams on building the 1st Terran R mechanism assemblies
Follow precise work instructions to successfully complete build operations
Assemble and test complex electro-mechanical assemblies using a variety of hand tools and test equipment
Work closely with a team of technicians to successfully execute daily operations
