About The Position

Mantis Innovation provides managed facility services and turnkey program management using technology-enabled solutions across building systems and operations. The Senior Mechanical Project Engineer helps clients identify, design, and implement utility and infrastructure improvements, translating complex facility needs into practical projects that improve performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. The role leads technical assessments, feasibility analysis, project scoping, and engineering design to support investment decisions and provides engineering support from concept through implementation. Success includes completing 95% of assigned site surveys, feasibility studies, and investment-grade cost estimates by their committed deadlines, with less than 5% requiring material rework due to engineering errors or omissions. The engineer develops scopes, project economics, and recommendations that contribute to at least $5 million annually in qualified project opportunities approved for proposal or implementation, while collaborating reliably with clients, internal teams, and project partners. The work is performed in a combination of office, remote, and client-site settings. Client sites may include industrial facilities, commercial buildings, utility plants, mechanical rooms, construction sites, production areas, and rooftops. Regular local and regional travel is expected, with occasional overnight travel. Work is generally during standard business hours, with flexibility potentially needed for client schedules, site access, deadlines, commissioning, or field work outside normal hours.
