About The Position

Our Undersea, Sensors and Structures (USS) department is looking for a Senior Mechanical Production Support Engineer to join our Patriot Launching Station Integrated Product Team (IPT) focusing on manufacturing development. Our Hardware Engineering team leads the hardware design, development and production support of a wide breadth of air, land, sea, and space systems. Hardware Engineering’s capabilities encompass a broad range of technical disciplines which include engineering, technical services, materials, processes, analysis, test, and documentation. This unaccompanied position will be onsite in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for a 2-year long-term international assignment with potential extension. Employment is contingent upon meeting all medical requirements for overseas assignments including comprehensive post-offer medical examination.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience.
  • Experience in a production and engineering support environment, including progressive leadership responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of current manufacturing systems and processes.
  • Experience supporting the production of complex systems.
  • Experience working with large, welded assemblies.
  • Working knowledge of PTC CREO CAD or equivalent tools, and PTC PDM or equivalent Product Data Management systems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with international subcontractors in a production environment.
  • Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams, including Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Mission Assurance, IPT Leadership, and Program Management.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering and / or MS preferred.
  • Experience with detailed program and production planning.
  • Experience in product road‑testing, including test plan development, procedure creation, and execution.
  • Experience with EXIM compliance, including Jurisdiction and Classification Assessment (JCA) training.
  • Experience managing through organizational change and periods of rapid growth.
  • Strong advocate for process improvement and team building, with the ability to build strong relationships and effectively partner with internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with time‑critical requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Execute day‑to‑day IPT responsibilities for the Patriot Product Line (PPL) in support of the IAMD Program Office.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between the supplier and the IPT, accountable for successful execution of all requirements, including development, production, schedule, and technical performance for OCONUS activities.
  • This includes supporting transition to production and obsolescence mitigation efforts.
  • Provide technical Subject Matter Expert support for Launchers and act as the primary technical interface with the country partner, Arabian International Company (AIC).
  • Deliver engineering support for partner development and Launcher production activities, including Manufacturing Data Package (MDP) development, tools and test‑fixture design, special process audit support, First Article Inspection (FAI), and transition to production.
  • Perform as the technical liaison to the U.S.-based Launcher team to ensure configuration alignment and product synergy.
  • Develop the technical skill set and knowledge base required to become a Patriot Launcher Subject Matter Expert.
  • Provide engineering support to Launcher offset projects as applicable.
