About The Position

This Senior Mechanical Engineer role focuses on the design, development, and continuous improvement of industrial mechanical systems and automated machinery, primarily supporting robotic field joint coating systems, pipeline equipment, and specialized machinery. The position blends hands-on mechanical design with technical leadership, manufacturing support, and occasional field involvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • 7+ years mechanical design experience with industrial equipment or automated machinery
  • Strong SolidWorks experience (AutoCAD a plus)
  • Experience designing moving mechanical systems and assemblies
  • Solid understanding of GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
  • Comfortable supporting both manufacturing and field operations

  • Senior-level mechanical engineer from industrial automation, heavy equipment, robotics, or machinery OEM environments
  • Hands-on designer who can also mentor others
  • Strong problem-solver with experience dealing with real-world production and field issues

Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical design of complex industrial equipment and automated systems
  • Create and review 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Develop full engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, and specifications
  • Mentor and technically support mechanical designers and drafters
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Assembly, Field Service, Quality, and Procurement
  • Support prototyping, testing, validation, and field troubleshooting
  • Perform mechanical analysis (stress, load, tolerance; FEA preferred)
  • Drive continuous improvement, reliability, and cost-efficiency initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with QMS, design controls, and regulatory standards
