About The Position

The Senior Mechanical Engineer is a technical expert responsible for providing comprehensive project management and engineering support for new and existing modular industrial and data center applications. This role oversees the entire mechanical lifecycle—from initial site surveys and technical calculations to manufacturing process development and field troubleshooting. The Senior Mechanical Engineer acts as a primary liaison between internal partners and third-party providers, ensuring all designs are constructible, code-compliant, and optimized for performance.
This individual is recognized as a subject matter expert in mechanical specifications and code analysis, leading project teams through complex design challenges while driving the adoption of industry best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering degree
• 15+ years experience in Mechanical Engineering
• Expert/Subject Matter Expertise in Mechanical Engineering, mechanical applications, and engineering principals.
• CAD Skills/Expertise Required

Responsibilities

• Provides project management support for new or existing projects.
• Verifies that design, shop and record drawings comply with company policies and procedures, including document
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge of mechanical specifications with respect to modular industrial and datacenter applications.
• Manages the development of manufacturing processes and procedures for new customer modules and processes.
• Oversees drawing and coordination processes for each cognizant project in terms of schedule, quality and
• Identifies design elements that must be incorporated into drawing designs.
• Performs a variety of technical calculations such as, heating and cooling loads, hydronics, plumbing fixtures units, energy analysis, etc.
• Acts as the company expert on code analysis.
• Acts as a liaison between internal partners and third party providers or customers.
• Interfaces with vendors for technical support and equipment selection based on size requirements, specific equipment selected and proposed equipment layout.
• Performs site surveys to document existing job site conditions for use in design documents and drawings.
• Ensures that all designs conform to all applicable codes, company policies and

• Reviews and approves submittals and shop drawings and authors responses to RFIs and code inspector.
• Participates in forecasting labor hours needed for tasks and manages and develops scope, schedule and project fees for projects.
• Supports new factory equipment scoping and selection for business expansion and meeting customer requirements.
• Ensures scheduled equipment can deliver distributed capacity through the performance of air and water balance analyses.
• Provides guidance and training to less experienced staff, Mechanical Designers or Engineers in Training (EITs).
