Senior Mechanical Engineer

Veralto GlobalFort Collins, CO
$100,000 - $115,000Onsite

About The Position

This is not just another design role. You’ll own end-to-end mechanical design and testing for complex, rugged products used in real-world environments—often in challenging, submerged conditions. You’ll be at the center of decisions that balance innovation, reliability, cost, and customer impact, working closely with teams across the business. If you enjoy solving complex engineering problems and understanding how your work impacts the bigger picture, this role offers a unique opportunity. Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, the Sr. Mechanical Engineer is responsible for leading the design and development of innovative submersible sensor systems and mechanical solutions. This position is part of the R&D team and will be on-site at one of Ott’s R&D Centers in Fort Collins. In this role, a typical day will look like: Lead the design and development of mechanical systems from concept through production. Design submersible sensor systems that must perform reliably over many years. Partner with product, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to bring products to life. Use engineering analysis (FEA, thermal, structural) to guide design decisions. Anticipate risks and make smart trade-offs between performance, cost, and manufacturability. Investigate real-world product issues and drive meaningful improvements. Mentor other engineers and contribute to a strong engineering culture. In short: you’ll own impactful engineering work—not just execute tasks. We’re looking for engineers who are both technically strong and curious about the “why” behind decisions.
